Why did the Proclamation of 1763 and the Quartering Act outrage the colonists?
Pontiac's Rebellion-Spring 1763-Native Americans attacked British forts and settlements (Britain would not give them supplies and the Native Americans did not like that the British settlers were living on their land).
The rebellion showed the British government that defending western lands was too difficult.
